For the latest podcast Ali caught up with musician and poet Roy Moller to talk about the forthcoming Dunbar CoastWord Festival.
Starting in 2013 as Dunbar’s Wee Festival of Words, in just three years it has grown to be an arts festival which can boast the likes of Liz Lochhead, Janice Galloway, Rachel McCrum, Catherine Simpson, Gerry Cambridge, Anne Cleeves and Withered Hand. It also shines a spotlight on Dunbar itself, with events celebrating the local and locale.
It’s a festival which encourages interaction from those who attend, with many various workshops on offer in writing fiction, poetry, songwriting and more. I could go into more detail here, but that’s what the podcast is for and Roy gives you the insider information you just won’t get elsewhere, and talks about the festival’s genesis and ethos.
