Head for the hills, it’s the return of the Scots Whay Hae! podcast. We’re calling it the first edition of Series 2, simply because it seemed like a good thing to do. We have some terrific guests lined up, but we’ll keep those names up our sleeves at the moment in case they don’t all materialise. Safe to say there’ll be more chat about films, books, poetry, music, Lego zombies and further hoopla to help you through the long winter nights.
This week saw Mr Eugene Twist, one of our finest singer/songwriters, climb the stairs to play a couple of songs (including the first play of a brand new track Halloween Drama Queen and personal favourite It’s Down to You) before joining Ali, Ian and a returning Chris Ward, to tell us about his album The Boy Who Had Everything . He also talks about his love of so much more than just Punk, the joys of late night YouTube trawling to discover new music, and the continuing importance of the album as a format.
After that there is still time to talk favourite soundtracks, and go off on a few tangents while doing so. Along the way there is chat about mythical Glasgow band The Wild River Apples, an admission of a collective man crush on David Byrne, and a recommendation for a must have soundtrack for your music collection.
Regular listeners don’t need to adjust your settings (we hope!) as if you already subscribe to the podcast it should update automatically as normal.
